Purpose of Position:
Incumbent develops, coordinates and implements the statewide Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) Preparedness Program to include collaboration with, and providing technical assistance to, identified functional leaders, Regional Preparedness Specialists (RSPS) and stakeholders. The incumbent works with internal and external partners in the development and updating of plans and procedures for SNS. The incumbent works closely with internal and external partners as well as regional and local representatives to provide SNS procedures and protocols so that SNS activities can be successfully executed in the event of a public health emergency. The incumbent coordinates state and local jurisdictions and resources in a manner to most effectively and operationally execute the SNS program. The incumbent must be able to develop administrative and operational processes that support alignment and collaboration while clarifying roles and responsibilities during a response; engaging with primary state, local and tribal entities in the routine assessment of state and local SNS planning; and identifying alternate dispensing methods for implementation across the state to suit the needs of the local jurisdictions.
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Education, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Criminology and/or Family Studies/Services and four (4) years of any combination of experience including working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management experience, behavioral health and/or health care. Incumbent works in an office setting with computers, and normal office products as well as working in the field in various locations throughout the state when needed to ensure competency of volunteer activities when needed.
